Geared Up Garage

I needed several masculine cards, for number one, my hubby’s Valentine card, a get well card, and a birthday card, so my choice for these were the Geared Up Garage Stamp Set from the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  In addition to the stamp set, I also used the Classic Garage 6″ X 6″ Designer Series Paper, which of course is perfect for this ensemble.

Valentine Geared Up Garage

First up, my hubby’s Valentine’s Day card.  The sentiment, “I love our life Together” was perfect!  The 6 X 6 DSP stack has a ton of different masculine images, and one of them is a sheet with multiple different cars to choose from, so I chose this Chevy for hubby.  He used to have one growing up as a 16-year-old.

I colored in one of the small Heart Epoxy Droplets from 2019 Occasions Catalog with my Real Red Blend Marker.  Also, the little silver circles on the left are “shrapnel” from the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies, so I put them to good use on this card and a couple others too.

Get Well Geared Up Garage

Hubby and I are part of the “Care Team” at our church.  We cover alpha I-L, and one of  guys had to have some surgery last week, and I guess more coming soon.  We have obviously been praying for him, but I wanted him to know it, so I created this fun card for him.  I hope he likes it, hubby thinks he will. 🙂

Birthday Geared Up Garage

Another dear friend of ours (Jimmy) has a birthday today, so I created this fun card for him, however this time I “stamped” the car image and then colored it in the Mango Melody Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends.  If you follow me, you know I like to “complete” the look by finishing up the inside of my cards.  Number one is I added a  4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock since my card base is Basic Black.  Next, I stamped the image of the nuts and what looks to me to be exhaust on the inside of the card with my Memento Black Ink.  I also stamped the envie with the gears and exhaust.

  1. your cards are fantastic, but how did you reverse the way the car was facing. I would love for some advise as I am new to stamping. Thank you Lelia Goddard

    • Lelia, thank you for your kind comment. We currently have coordinating Classic Garage Designer Series Paper, and I used some of it on these cards. I simply fussy cut the card with my Paper Snips. You can, however, create a reverse image of the stamped card by stamping on your Silicone Mat and then placing your cardstock over the top (ensure you don’t move the paper so it doesn’t smear), and walla, a reverse image.
