Thinking of You with Brusho
A very dear friend of ours was very, very sick last week, and I wanted him to know we were thinking and praying for him. I had created this Brusho Crystals Colours card during our last 3Amiga Day with my friends but hadn’t added a sentiment, it worked perfectly as a masculine get well card.
Brusho and Dragonflies
I’m not sure you can see it well on this photo, but I spritzed it with some Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint, it always packs a big WOW to my cards. I love this stuff and have a bottle “always” ready to mist!!
To create the background I cut a piece of Watercolor Paper in half and taped it with some Painters Blue Tape onto a piece of cardboard. It helps keeps my Watercolor Paper from warping too much. I then taped up the right side of the Watercolor Paper so only half was exposed. I then sprinkled the Prussian Blue Brusho Crystal Colours onto the Watercolor Paper and using my Stampin’ Spritzer filled with tap water, I gently spritzed it and set it outside to dry for about a 1/2 hour.
Nex, I ran the Detailed Dragonfly Die through the Big Shot again using Watercolor paper. I placed my cut dragonflies (of course I created more than one while I was at it), onto another piece of thick cardboard, spritzed it with water first, and then added my Brusho Crystal Colours. I also placed them outside to dry.
After all the Watercolor Paper was dried, I removed all the blue tape, trimmed it to 4-1/8″ X 5-3/8″ and adhered it to my 4-1/4″ X 11″ Night of Navy Cardstock based and added some Tear & Tape to the back of the watercolor paper. Next, I added my dried cut dragonflies using only some rolled up glue dots for a little dimension. The last thing I did was add a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4″ X 5-1/4″ to the inside since it was a dark cardstock base.
When I was ready to use the card, I stamped the sentiment (using my Stamparatus, since the Watercolor Paper is kind of bumpy, it worked fabulously) from the Wonderful Romance Stamp Set (from the 2019 Occasions Catalog), and added some gems I had handy, and I called it done!
