Free As A Bird Ensemble

I saw down to create a card for a friend of mine, and once I finished the first one I couldn’t stop, ha!  I created four and want to share them with you this week.

I will have project details at the bottom of this post, however, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

Project Number One

I started with this project first, which primarily uses the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and the oh so beautiful Stitched Lace Die.  I wanted my project to pick up the Daffodil Delight color in the Bird Ballad DSP, so I used it for my card base.  I then proceeded to “fussy cut” the bird set from the DSP.  I wanted something pretty to set the birds on, and so I broke open my Stitched Lace Die.    It’s starting to come together now.

Glitter Enamel Dots Tip!

I wanted to add some medium/large embellishments to my card front, so I pulled out the Glitter Enamel Dots because it had some green color in it, unfortunately, it wasn’t the “right green”, my solution, color the dots with my Dark Mossy Meadow Blends, problem solved!

I also used the carried over Old Olive Linen Thread, which matched “perfectly” with my newly colored Glitter Enamel Dots!  Oh, I so love coordination!!

The sentiment is from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  By the way, I used some glycerin on my Whisper White card layer and some Balmy Blue Classic Ink, and a Sponge Dauber (here is the link to my Glycerin Video HERE in case you missed it), no worries about crazy lines showing up.  I love this technique.

If you follow me at all, you know I love love, love to finish up the inside, and my envies.  I didn’t photograph the envie, but I should have…. :-(.   Just a small piece of the previously cut Stitched Lace die, and some Old Olive Twine, I called it done!
