All Occasion Card Project

As you can see, I used the Very Versailles stamp set for this project, and I created this card for “future use”, I didn’t add a sentiment intentionally.  I feel you can add any type of sentiment you might need at a later time.

Full project details at the bottom of this post.

Vintage Look

I wanted my project to have a vintage look, and the Very Versailles stamp set and Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper fit the bill for me.  In order to not create a lot of bulk, I added an extra layer of Crumb Cake cardstock and only Dimensionals underneath the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Paper.

The Very Vanilla cardstock is distressed all around the outside using my Paper Snips, then sponged with the Sahara Sand Class Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I stamped the script image from the Very Versailles stamp set on the top left and bottom right corners, then without inking the stamp set again stamped the top right and bottom left with the same stamp set.

I colored the Pearls I added to the project with the Dark Crumb Cake Blend Markers.  I created a double bow with the Braided Linen Trim, added one of the flower trinkets from the Bird Ballad Trinkets.

Don’t forget the inside 🙂

You know how I like to add a little something, something to the inside of my projects to give them a finished look.  Oh, and don’t forget to add a little something to your envies too.  I added some of the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper to the inside and a strip of the Braided Linen Trim ribbon too.

Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.

  1. I absolutely love your card and your work! Thank you, you are an inspiration to me.

  2. I love this card! Do you mind if I CASE it?

  3. I would like to CASE this card, but I think there must be an error in your measurements for the DSP. Your instructions say 2-/8″ X 3-1/8″ and I’m stumped by the first measurement. Would you mind letting me know the correct dimensions? Many thanks.

    • Melissa, well heck fire, thank you for catching that, I missed that, it should read, 2-1/8″ X 3-1/8″. I’m on my way to fix it now.

      • Thanks. I tried that. I don’t mean to be a pest, but when I cut my DSP to that size, it does not look like what is shown in the photo.

  4. Loving your card! ? Curious to know what die was used for the butterfly? It doesn’t look familiar to me. Thank you ?
