Very Versailles Thank You

Last week for my birthday a dear friend made one of my favorite coconut macaroon cookies, she honestly makes the best I have ever tasted!  I created this thank you card for Anita using the Very Versailles Stamp Set and are simply gorgeous Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.

You can find project details/measurements at the bottom of this post.

Pressed Petals Specialty DSP

I started out with a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, then cut a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, and finally another layer of Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  I stamped the leaves from the Very Versailles stamp set with Versamark Ink on the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock layer.  I cut the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper into a 3″ X 4″, and scored at 1″ on the 4″ (long) side.  I placed a pencil mark at 2″ on the 4″ side, then cut and cut from the scoreline to the 2″ mark on both sides to create the point on my DSP.  I added the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock layer. then adhered that layer over the Crumb Cake Cardstock layer. I adhered the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP down at with SNAIL adhesive only on the tips where the points meet.

For the sentiment I cut a piece of 2″ X 2″ Whisper White cardstock, and another 2″ X 2″ piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I stamped the Crumb Cake cardstock piece with the words stamp with Soft Suede Classic Ink.  Next, I cut the stamped Crumb Cake cardstock corner to corner to create 4 pieces and sponged all the pieces with Soft Suede Classic Ink.  I curled the triangle pieces and added a Mini Dimensional under each curled end.  I stamped the thank you sentiment with Blueberry Bushel Classic Ink and cut it out with the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies and added it to the center of the 2″ X 2″ Whisper White piece of cardstock.  I added the sentiment over top a Pearlized Doilies I had sponged with Soft Suede Classic Ink so it wouldn’t look so stark white with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I used one of the cut pieces to the left of the card, and then used the Pearlized Doilies as a template and sponged some Soft Suede Classic ink.
