Come to Gather and some Copper

To create this card I pulled together my colors from the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper, Merry Merlot, and Mint Macaron.  I had the Copper Delicata Ink Pad on my desk and decided I would add it to my card.

I decided to cut my card base in with Mint Macaron Cardstock, then cut my first layer using a piece of Merry Melot Cardstock I had embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder.  Again I had the Copper Delicata Ink Pad on my work station and decided I would add it to my Merry Merlot Cardstock by simply taking the Copper Delicata Ink Pad and running it over the embossed cardstock.  I love how it looked, so I kept going.

I cut a piece of the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper at 2-1/2″ X 4-1/8″ and placed it over the Merry Merlot Cardstock layer.

Delicate Bands

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Mint Macaron Cardstock with some Merry Merlot Classic Ink and punched the sentiment out with the Timeless Label Punch.  I was going to add it directly to my piece of DSP but felt it got lost.  So I decided to grab some Copper Foil and use the Detailed Bands Dies to create a layer between the DSP and the Mint Macaron Cardstock, it was exactly I felt it needed.

I still felt the sentiment piece needed something else, that’s when I decided to run the Cotton Delicata Ink Pad around the Mint Macaron sentiment piece and felt that’s what it needed.   I adhered the cut Copper Foil piece to the DSP with my Liquid Multipurpose Glue, then added the sentiment with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I had been wanting to use my Tags & Feathers Elements, so I picked out this cute feather, and adhered it to my card front using the Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  I didn’t want it going anywhere, and it certainly did the trick.  I don’t think you can really see it, but I added some Copper Delicata Ink to my Basic Rhinestone Jewels, then added them to my card front.

Don’t Forget the Inside

I always like to add a little something, something to the inside, so cut another piece of Merry Merlot Cardstock at 4-1/2″ X 5-3/8″, then a piece of Whisper White Cardstock at 4″ X 5-1/4″.  I stamped the wheat image with some Soft Suede and Merry Merlot Stampin’ Write Markers, and I called it done.
