Front Step Card

I used the Come To Gather Suite Bundle again for this project, and I decided to make it a Fun Fold / Step-card, and of course, I have details for you, so you can recreate it yourself.

The first image is with the cute little leaf I added after I had started photographing my project.  I felt it still needed “something”, but I knew it had to be something small.  Well, my Stampin’ Up order arrived today and in the box of treasures I received was the To Every Season Bundle, and I thought a small little leaf would be a perfect addition, so I punch one out using the coordinating Come To Gather Designer Series Paper, and I thought, “now” its complete.  What do you think?  Which do you like best, with or without the extra little leaf in the bottom left corner?

Fun Fold

I love creating fun fold type cards, and I love how this one turned out.  The best part about this one is that it folds flat when mailing, and if you don’t add too many doodads, you can get away with just regular postage.  Yay!

So here are the measurements for this project.  I started out with a piece of 4-1/4″ X 11″ Pretty Peacock Cardstock, and I scored it at 1/2″, 1-1/2″, 4-1/2″, and 5-1/2″.  I folded all the creases with my Bone Folder.  Next, I added a piece of 2-1/4″ X 3″ piece of Come Together DSP to the top of my card.  I also added  2 pieces of 1″ X 2-3/4″ along each side of the bottom panel (shown in the photo above with the leaves).   I added Tear-N-Tape to the 1/2″ score line, folded it just up to the DSP I had previously added on top.  If you fold your card flat, the 1/2″ piece will lie exactly where it needs to go, so no guessing on far up to go on your card.  Let me know if you need a visual!

The second piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock was cut at 3-1/4″ X 6″, scored at 1/2″ and 1-1/2″.  I added a piece of 3″ X 3-1/4″ piece of the Merry Merlot Come To Gather DSP to the upper portion of the cardstock piece, then added another piece of Tear-N-Tape to the 1/2″ piece.  I added some SNAIL to the bottom piece of the scored cardstock and adhered it centered over the previously folded cardstock, then folded everything flat, I removed the backing from the Tear-N-Tape and adhered the top piece in place. I cut a couple of leaves with the Gather Leaves Dies using some Copper Foil Sheet, Pretty Peacock, and Crumb Cake Cardstocks added a strip of the Pretty Peacock 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon, punch a cute leaf from the same DSP, and colored in some Metallic Pearls with my copper sharpie marker.  I called the front done!

In the back, I added a sentiment from the Gather Together Stamp Set with some Pretty Peacock Classic Ink, added a strip of Come To Gather DSP, and another Copper Foil leaf.  The back was done too!
