Greatest Part of Christmas
I wasn’t ready to begin Christmas Card yet, but I realized we are on the last day of September 2019 and the next three months will probably fly by, so I better start getting ready.
I was looking back on one of my previous post a customer had commented on recently and I thought that would look cool as a Christmas card, so I CASED myself.
The Great Part of Christmas Stamp Set is a Hosts stamp set in the 2019 Holiday Catalog, is has quite a bit of fantastic greetings in various fonts, if you missed it, check it out on page 61.
The Designer Series Papers in the 2019 Holiday Catalog are simply AMAZING! I really can’t put my finger on which one I love the most, they truly are just gorgeous. As I decided which DSP to use on my project today, I thought the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper lend itself most to a quilt type card, so I went with it.
I think this card packs a big impressive punch, however, it is a card you can create multiples of in no time at all. The illusion of a quilted card is pretty cool on this card, and I have dimensions on how to create this project for you below. The center poinsettia I added to my project is from the Cup of Cheer Dies. I wanted something small enough to fit in the center, and as I looked through my dies, I thought the poinsettia inside the cup (which I cut away from the cup with my paper snips) would be the perfect fit, and it was. After I cut the poinsettia out with some Gold Foil Paper, I also cut the poinsettia again with Whisper White Cardstock, and ensured I kept all the pieces on the cup by adding some with regular scotch tape to the back, then adhered the Gold Foil piece on top with some Multipurpose liquid glue. I added it to my project with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You know I like to keep the theme going on the inside of my projects, so I cut a 1/2″ X 4″ piece of the Wrapped in Plaid DSP, topped it off with a strips of 1/4″ X 4″ piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, and added it to the 4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.
