Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP Shaker Card
I was honored to be asked by my peers at my Full-Time Day job to create a couple of Boss’s Day cards for some fabulous women we work with.
For this particular project, I decided to use the super yummy Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper, and I love how it turned out. I didn’t know it would turn out to be a shaker card when I started, all I knew was it needed to be special.

No Stamping!
Once I decided what elements from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper I was going to use, that is when I decided it would be a shaker card. I didn’t have a stamp set with any type of Boss’s Day greeting, so I used my computer, some Very Vanilla Cardstock, and typed my message, then printed it using my printer.
I trimmed the message to 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ using my oh so FABULOUS NEW Stampin’ Trimmer!!! Let me just say I am “in love”!!! I am not kidding you, this Stampin’ Trimmer is going to blow your socks off. It cuts extremely well, and even the tiniest cut I was able to get, which was 1/8″ cut, was as smooth as it could be, now scuffed edges. Sadly we do not know as of today when the trimmer will be available to our awesome customers, however, if you can’t wait, please join my team (check the link here on my blog), and you can add this as one of the items in your New Demonstrator Kit, which is a fabulous deal in itself. Plus, you will be able to order from the upcoming Occasions Catalog in December 2019, long before our customers can order. Yay, win-win!!

A little shakin’ going on
My project started out with an 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock. After I ran my Very Vanilla Cardstock through my printer with the Boss’s Day Sentiment, I cut it down to 4-1/8″ X 5-3/8″ for my shaker layer and added it to Thick Very Vanilla Card base.
Next, I cut a piece of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper down to 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″, then used my second to the largest Stitched Rectangle Die, to cut out the center. I cut and added a Window Sheet at 4-1/8″ X 5-3/8″ and adhered it to my Mosaic Window, then added my Foam Adhesive Strips on top of my Window Sheet.
I added lots of Iridescent Sequin Assortment to my card layer, then very carefully added the top of my shaker card. I used my Paper Snips to hand-cut my rose, leaves, and hummingbird then adhered them to my card with some Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

I always like to finish my card by adding a little something to the inside, so I cut a 1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of the coordinating Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper, and a 1-/8″ by 5-1/2″ piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock to complete the look. Did you notice I cut a coordinating piece of DSP and added it to the flap of my envie? Well, I did… 🙂
