Swing Easel with Christmas Gleaming
What have y’all been up to this weekend? You’re probably thinking, what is that picture of a silly-looking kid, right? I had our precious and only grandaughter (we have 7, she is the only girl) Kiersten Lila, and let me tell you she is a hoot! She left me the funniest video on my phone, I found it today after we got home from church. I just had to share, the girl keeps us in stitches!
Check out the photo above for today’s inspiration comes from the gals over at Splitcoastampers, they have a tutorial and I followed it to create the project on the left, then I created the card on the left using part of those measurements. I have a link to the tutorial further down in the post.
When I saw the tutorial I knew I had to create one of my own, then I couldn’t stop at one. so I made a second one with a few adjustments.
This project starts with a piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock cut at 5 1/2” x 11” and scored at 2 1/2″, 3″, 3 1/2″ & 5 1/2″ on the 11″ side.
This project starts with a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock cut at 4-1/4 X 11″, and it is scored just like the card above, the only difference is I started my cut at 3/4″ from the edge instead of 1″ as instructed in the video link below.
Here are some quick details about this project, the center panel has a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock cut at 2-1/2″ X 3-3/4″, the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper is cut at 2-3/8″ X 3-5/8″. The Very Vanilla Cardstock panel where I added my sentiment is cut at 4″ X 5-1/2″, with a 1″ X 4″ Strip of a Copper Foil sheet, then a 3/4″ X 4″ piece of Brightly Gleaming DSP.
I stamped the holly’s with some Golden Glitz Delicata Ink, then colored in with my Old Olive and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends.
I hope you will take the time to create, and if it’s this particular project, you will share it with all of us.
