Treats for All Seasons
Today I’m sharing how make a simple candy treat, into an extraordinary candy treat! I also love that this particular treat packaging can be used for any season! Inside this cuties is a small Twix candy bar which is sure to please just about anyone.
Treat Packaging
I think the recipients of these cuties are going to bring a smile to their face, at least it would make my heart happy. I plan to leave these on my co-worker’s desk next week.
I have instructions for creating these cuties here for you, let’s start with cutting the Cardstock and/or Designer Series Paper of your choice.
Cardstock or DSP?
I personally prefer DSP, as this makes pulling these together super quick because if you chose not to add to many embellishments, it would be adorable with the DSP and a cute piece of ribbon, however, cardstock works great too, it’s obviously whatever makes you happy.
Measure the candy, in my case, I used the small Twix candy bars, they measure 1-3/4″ X 7/8″. I knew I would need at least a 1″ gap in the center for my candy bar to fit nicely. I cute my DSP/Cardstock at 2-1/4″ X 6″, then scored at 2-1/2″ and again at 3-1/2″. I punch both ends of the paper with my Delightful Tag Topper Punch. I added some SNAIL adhesive between the two scored lines to ensure my candy didn’t slip out. As you can see I added different embellishments depending on the season.
Here I used the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper, to create my treat holder, along with the Ornate Frame Dies. Some Pretty Peacock and Mint Macaron Cardstock for the sentiment. I punch piece using the leaf from the Every Season Punch Pack.
For this cutie, I used the oh so fabulous Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper and the Shaded Spruce/Gold Ribbon. I used one of the dies from the Stitched Stars Dies and some Gold Foil Paper. For the sentiment, I used the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set.
Lastly, I used some Monster Bash Designer Series Paper for 3 of these, and one using the Basic Black Cardstock to show you some versatility. The sentiment is cut with the Ornate Frames Die, on Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. Topped it off with some 3/8″ Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon.
