A Lil Old and a Lil New
I want to get a head start on my 2020 birthday cards, so I pulled out some Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and decided on a Basic Black Cardstock base and some Blushing Bride accent pieces.
I decided to use the Sip & Celebrate Dies as well because who doesn’t like to celebrate a birthday with some pink champagne, right?
I have project measurements for you at the bottom of my post.
Happy Birthday To You
Did you notice the beautiful font on my birthday wishes? It comes from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set in the 2020 Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I just loved how it truly looks like I wish I could write in cursive! The best part is this will be available as a FREE stamp set once the Sale-A-Bration Catalog goes live on January 3, 2020.
Here is a close up of the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock I used behind the Champagne Glass I cut with the Sip & Celebrate Dies with some Mercury Glass Designer Acetate, which I did not give enough love to this season.
Did you notice the White Baker’s Twine Ribbon and how cute and curly it is? Here is a little tip for you. I used my Paper Snips and used to it “curl” my Twine, by running it through just like you would some ribbon you wrap a gift with, hope this makes sense? I used some Liquid Multipurpose glue on a couple of places to hold my curled White Baker’s Twine in place.
Just a quick question I hope you “will” respond to here or by dropping me an email. Did you like the downloadable tutorial I had on my blog yesterday which provided the measurements and information for recreating the project I shared yesterday? These take quite a bit of time, so if you are not using them, I may need to rethink posting them, and just continue posting the measurements below like I normally do.

Thick Whisper White Cardstock Base: Cut at 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. A second 4″ X 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card
Bird Ballad DSP: Blushing Bridge polka dot piece we 2-1/2″ X 3-3/4″, the striped piece at 2-1/4″ X 3-3/4″
Basic Black Cardstock: 1/2″ X 3-3/4″, and 3-7/8″ X 5-1/8″
Blushing Bride Cardstock: 1″ X 3-1/2″ for the sentiment
Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 1″ X 2″ for the inside of the champagne glass
Mercury Glass Designer Acetate: 1″ X 3-3/4″ for the champagne glass
