Botanical Prints Product Medley
I can’t believe I hadn’t played with the Botanical Prints Product Medley goodies until today. Here’s what’s included in the kit:
48 – 6″ X 6″ sheets of double-sided Botanical Paper Prints (8 each, double-sided designs)
4 – Sheets die-cut accents (2 each of 2 designs)
4 – Sheets of laser-cut overlays
1/4″ – Old Olive Twill Ribbon (10 yards)
12 – Copper-colored metal bee embellishments
7 – Piece Botanical Prints dies
Retiring Lovely Lipstick
I am going to miss the Lovely Lipstick cardstock which is retiring the end of May 2020. But don’t wait if you love this color, the cardstock, ink pads, ink refills, blender pens, and so on will be gone long before the end of the catalog. It happens every year, so don’t wait to order some extra!
I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock I cut to 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, and scored at 4-1/4″. I used one of the patterns in the Botanical Prints Designer Series Papers and cut them in half, at 3″ X 6″, then I trimmed then down to 3″ X 5-1/2″. I backed it with a piece of the Lovely Lipstick card, which I cut at 3-1/8″ because I only wanted a 1/16″ ish ink peeking through. I added the DSP layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals to my Whisper White cardstock base.
I stamped the sentiment from the Botanical Prints Stamp Set in Lovely Lipstick Classic Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, then cut it out using the smallest of the scalloped Rectangle Dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (my favorite in the 2020 Mini Catalog).
I stamped the two floral images on Whisper White cardstock from the Botanical Prints Stamp Set using my Lovely Lipstick and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers. Be sure and use the side of the brush tip side when adding your color to your stamp, then “huff” to reactive the color for a nice, clean image. I die-cut the floral images with the coordinating Botanical Prints Dies, which are included in this beautiful kit! I added the floral images and sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as well as the small leaves I had cut with Old Olive cardstock. Lastly, I sprinkled some of the gorgeous Gold Gilded Gems.
Second Botanical Prints Project
I used basically the same layout as above with the exception of the Lovely Lipstick cardstock, which I cut to 3-1/2″ X 5-1/2″. The sentiment was stamped on one of the die-cut accents pieces with Lovely Lipstick Classic Ink. I also added a bow from the 1/2″ Old Olive Twill Ribbon, also included in the kit. Lastly, I sprinkled more of the Gold Gilded Gems.
