Capture the Good
I had so much for creating this project, and quite frankly it was so stinkin’ easy and looks so very cool. I used the Capture the Good Stamp Set, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and lots of reinkers.
Watercoloring Fun
I started by laying a full sheet of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper on a self-healing mat with some masking tape. In used a small paintbrush, a cup of water, and a paper towel to create the background. First I laid down a little bit of water on the left side, top to bottom in a zig zaggy way, then dipped the tip of my small round paintbrush into the soon to be retiring Lovely Lipstick Reinker. and let it spread like magic on my Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Using some clean water, I laid a bit more as I did previously, in a zig zaggy way, then added the Grapefruit Grove Reinker color next to the Lovely Lipstick color. I did this over the entire piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
These are the Reinker Colors I used from left to right:
Lovely Lipstick Reinker (retiring)
Grapefruit Grove Reinker (retiring)
Pineapple Punch Reinker (retiring)
Granny Apple Green Reinker
Pool Party Reinker
Pacific Point Reinker
Gorgeous Grape Reinker
I allowed the image to dry completely without applying any heat to it. I cut it down to fit my Thick Whisper White Cardstock base which is cut at 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. I used some Tear N Tape to add my piece to the card front, which is cut at 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my Stamparatus, then cut the sentiment from the Capture the Good stamp set out with the smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the sentiment SMILE, huffed on the stamped and stamped it on another small piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I used my Paper Snips to trim the sentiment. I also stamped the camera image on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and fussy cut it as well.
I added all of my images with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used my White Gelly Roll Pen to the white lines above the sentiment smile and some dots below it. The last thing was to add some Rhinestones and a Designer Element to the camera.
