2020-2020 In-Colors
I wanted to use “all” of the 2020-2022 In Colors on my project, and I thought, how in the world am I going to that, then I looked over at my NEW Gold Hoop Embellishments sitting on my desk and it came to me. I will make a wreath!
Handmade Flowers
I wanted my flowers to have lots of dimension, and pack a punch on my project. I knew I was going to mail this card with a gift in a package, so I didn’t care it would “stick out” for mailing. It will be mailed in a padded envelope with a couple of goodies to my amazing customers!
I used the Forever Fern Stamp Set for the sentiment, which I stamped on a 1/2″ X 1-3/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, using the Misty Moonlight Classic Ink. Instead of flagging one end of my sentiment, I decided to make it look like a little scroll, so I rolled up one end and use my Multipurpose Liquid Glue to keep it from unraveling.
I used the Forever Flourishing Dies to cut out my Greenery with some Just Jade Cardstock and Bumblebee Cardstock.
The flowers were cut from Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cide, and Misty Moonlight Cardstocks. I literally grabbed my Paper Snips and cut some jaggy circles (no dies here), the cut again going round and round until I almost got to the inside of my circle, leaving just a little piece at the end to glue my flowers together. (see photo below)
2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots
For a couple of my flower centers, I used some 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. I first added a few drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the centers, then added the Enamel Dot to ensure good adhesion.
For the little yellow “stamens” on the Cinnamon Cider flower, I cut a 1/2″ X 3″ strip of Bumblebee Cardstock, then used my Paper Snips to cut little slits all the way across, then rolled up my little strip. Again I added some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the center of the flower to ensure good adhesion.
My card base is cut at 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ from the Bumble Bee Cardstock. I added a 4″ X 5-1/2″ piece of wood like paper from the AMAZING In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. This pack is so wonderful, when you have it in your hands you will see what I am talking about. Lots and lots of texture. I adore it!
I wanted my card to look like my flower hoop was hanging from a wall, so I took some ribbon, wrapped it at the top of my hoop, and added 1″ from the top of my card base. I tied a bow and then added one of the Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots to mimic a nail.
