Prized Peony Suite
A dear friend placed an order with me recently, so I created this card to send her as a thank you, as well as a small gift I send to all my customers.
I used the Peony Garden Suite for this project, which made pulling this card together super easy. You know I like easy, right?
I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock I cut at 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, and scored at 4-1/4″. I truly love this type of card base because unlike some of the “top folding” cards, it won’t slide down and open. I cut a piece of the coordinating Peony Garden Designer Series Paper at 4″ X 5-1/4″. I used one of the wondermous Square Vellum Doilies and sponged it with my Sponge Dauber and some Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink. You can use them as it (just vellum cardstock), or you can sponge them to any color your heart desires. I added my Square Vellum Doily to the front of my Peony Garden DSP with some Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive just in the center because I knew my floral image would hide the adhesive.
I stamped the large peony flower from the Prized Peony Stamp Set shown here on my project with some Gray Granite Classic Ink on my Stamparatus, in case I needed to go over it again, because its a larger stamp, and thank goodness I did because it needed to be stamped twice. I also stamped the smaller peony flower image on the same 4-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, so I killed two birds with one stone.
I colored the image with the Petal Petal Light/Dark, Soft Sea Foam Light/Dark, Dark Mint Macaron, and Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. I used the coordinating Peony Dies to cut out my images. I added my floral image to the Peony Garden DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the Peony Garden DSP into a simple knot and secured it with a Mini Glue Dot. I added the Peony Garden DSP piece on top of my Thick Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment with Gray Granite Classic Ink on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut at 3/4″ X 2-1/2″. I used the NEW and upcoming Banner Pick A Punch (coming in the August – December 2020 Mini Catalog) to create the cut banner end. I added my sentiment with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, for the front, I sprinkled some bling with the oh so gorgeous Elegant Faceted Gems.
The Inside
As I mentioned earlier, I also stamped and die cut the small peony floral image from the Prized Peony Stamp Set, and colored it in using the same colors as the larger flower. I added it to the inside bottom right corner with some Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive and called this project done.
