Nothing’s Better Than
I’ve seen some cute chocolate bar cards, I had to create my own. I used Nothing’s Better Than Bundle for my project today. I have a video for you as well as the measurements here.
I made my card just a tad bit smaller than a standard 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card. I cut my cardstock at 7-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 3-3/4″ using Early Espresso cardstock for my card front. I also cut 6 pieces of Early Espresso cardstock at 3/4″ x 3/4″, and used my Sponge Dauber with some Early Espresso Ink to sponge around the edges. I scored the card every 1-1/4′ across the front.
I cut a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper at 3-3/4″ x 3″. I don’t like the white showing on my DSP, so I sponged all around the edges with some Early Espresso ink and my Sponge Dauber. I used a piece of regular old household aluminum foil cut at 4″ x 4-1/2″.
I added the 3/4″ pieces to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the In Good Taste DSP to the aluminum foil to ensure the shiny side would be on the front (personal preference of course). I scrunched up the aluminum foil to make it look like I tore into the chocolate. I adhered the DSP to the card front using my Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive.
Silver Foil and Adhesive Sheets
I cut a piece of Adhesive Sheet and added it to the back of my Silver Foil to cut the word “chocolate” from the Love You More Than Dies, then ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. So much easier to just peel the release paper from the back and add it to my project, than trying to fiddle with my Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Nothing’s Better Stamp Set on the front of my card with Real Red Classic ink on a 1/4″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. I used one of my favorite embellishments, the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend to create my own “red” sequins. I sprinkled them to the front of my project.
You know no card is complete without a little something, something on the inside. I cut a piece of 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock for the inside. Before I added it to my project, I stamped the sentiment from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set with some Real Red Classic ink, the outline of the chocolate candy with Early Espresso ink, and the inside with Soft Suede Classic ink.
