Chipboard Covered Tags
Do you have any extra chipboard laying around? Maybe some from the packs of our Designer Series Paper, or My Paper Pumpkin box inserts? Well, I did and put it to good use, I created some “extra special” gift tags that can double as a tree ornament.
Plaid Tidings DSP
Most of the tags are cut at 3″ x 3″, and all are covered with various holiday designer series papers. The first one here uses the Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I cut an extra 1″ x 4″ strip of chipboard to create a tag that looks like a gift box. I used the beautiful Red Velvet Paper for the top of the box and cut 1/2″ x 3″ strips to create the box ribbon. I made a bow using the 3/8″ Real Red Sheer Ribbon.
Stitched Shapes Dies
For all of the tags, I used the Stitched Shapes Dies in the square shape, I used the Tag Buffet Stamp Set to stamp the “To” and “From” on the die-cut piece, and added it to the back with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ DSP
Here I used the ‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper which I adhered to the chipboard using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I used the gorgeous “Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack”, Argyle Shaded Spruce ribbon and tied a bow on the front. I used a strip of Gold Cord at the top of the tag. As with all the tags, I added a to and from on the back.
Most Wonderful Time
I used some of the DSP from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley. Again, most of my tags are using a piece of 3″ x 3″ chipboard as the base. I used the gold cord from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack on this project for the bow and hanger.
Trimming in the Town DSP
For this tag, I first cut the house from the Trimming in the Town Designer Series Paper with my Paper Snips, then traced it on my chipboard, and cut it out using some scissors. I added some gold cord, to the chipboard with For the back I used the coordinating Home Together Dies and coordinating Old Olive Cardstock and adhered it to the back with my Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then trimmed it down to fit perfectly. I tied a bow from the “Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack” (gold cord) and added it to the front with more Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Most Wonderful Time
I used some of the DSP from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley again on this tag as well as the “Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack” (gold cord). I used the Beautiful Boughs Dies along with some Old Olive Cardstock for some greenery and then added Real Red Rhinestones in a small cluster.
Feels Like Frost DSP
I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Nativity Stamp Set with some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, then adhered it to my chipboard. Before I add the back piece of DSP to my chipboard I added a loop of Snowflake Splendor 1/4″ Ribbon. I used some Basic Black Cardstock and the Nativity Dies to cut a silhouette of Joseph, Jesus, and Mary.
