Playful Alphabet

I saw a card similar to this at my local store, only they were asking $8.00 for the card.  Well as a crafter you know we say no way, we won’t pay! lol

I pulled my Stampin’ Up Tools tools and came up with my own New Year card project.

I started with a piece of Basic Black Cardstock cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  I cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet at 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.  TIP, I used the center area of the Gold Foil Sheet to cut out my numbers from the Playful Alphabet Dies before I adhered it to my card base. 

I cut a piece of the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered it over my Gold Foil. 

Nothing’s Better Than

I love the little cocktail glasses in the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle, so I used them on my project today.  I used the coordinating Love You More Than Dies and fabulous Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (Available 01/05/21) to cut out my stamped glasses.  The Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine sits right at my craft table and makes it super easy to simply open it up and cut my pieces.

I stamped my glasses using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and used Melon Mambo and Mango Melody Classic Ink to stamp my inside glass image.  Then used Granny Apple Green Classic Ink for my lime slice and Bermuda Bay Classic Ink for the little cut umbrella image. 

Ornate Frames Dies

I wanted the numbers I cut from the Playful Alphabet Dies to pop, so I used my Ornate Frames Dies and Basic Black Cardstock to use as my backing for the numbers.  Again, having the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Available 01/05/21) on my desk allowed me to cut all my die pieces without having to get up and down.  I added the numbers using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Lastly, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to my drinks and added a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock (we still have the 12″ x 12″ size available) to the inside of my card to write my sentiment.
