Pretty Perennials
This is one of my favorite bundles in the May – June 2021 Mini Catalog, Pretty Perennials. I love the watercolor type image when you stamp the flowers, I love the coordinating die-cut pieces, I love the two different kinds of leaves in this set. It makes me look like I am a true artist!
I am also so ready for Spring, and it finally arrived in Georgia on Saturday, March 20, 2021, yay!!! I decided to use fun and bright spring colors!
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
I started with an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Basic White cardstock, which I scored at 4-1/4″. Next, I used 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, which I “first” used my Blending Brush and some Balmy Blue Classic Ink to create a soft blue background. Then I ran the sheet through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder on my Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine to create some soft texture. I adhered the layer with my Seal + Adhesive to my card base.
I used another 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped my floral images from the Pretty Perennial Stamp Set with some Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Mango Melody Classic Inks. I used Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink to stamp a set of leaves. While I had all my inks open and stamps mounted, I went ahead and stamped a few flowers on the bottom right inside of the card too. I used the coordinating Perennial Petals Dies to die-cut my stamped floral image and leaves. I also used some of the leftover Basic White cardstock to cut out the open floral pieces and some Pear Pizzazz cardstock scraps to cut some open leaves.
Once I had all my pieces stamped and cut, I arranged them on my card front first without adhering anything down. Once I knew I like how they looked, I used my Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhered the larger flowers and then used my Seal+ Adhesive to add my smaller floral images and leaves.
I stamped the Easter Blessings sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set on a 1/4″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock with my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and adhered it with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to my card front. Lastly, I sprinkled some Pastel Pearls on my larger flowers. I called this project done.
