Patriotic Lacy Petals

In honor of Memorial Day and all those who gave their all to protect our great Nation, I decided to create a patriotic card. 

I have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls.  2 of the 4 are Navy veterans as well as my daughter’s husband.  I love they felt the need to serve our Country.  Quite proud of them.  I have a couple of downline members on my team who also served, to them, and all of you out there that sacrificed to protect our Country, I SALUTE YOU!!!

I kept my project in the traditional red, white and blue using Real Red, Night of Navy, and Basic White Cardstock.  I decided to use the Lacy Petals Dies from the Delicate Petals Bundle in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog.

I also used the White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding, and Playful Pets Trim Combo Back (red & white ribbon from the bundle) for my Ribbon on the side of my project.  You’re thinking, wait, she write “white” seam binding, yep I did, I used my Dark Night of Navy Blend to color the ribbon.  It is now perfect!

I sprinkled some Small Resin Hearts from the 2021 Mini Catalog (available only until June 30, 2021).  The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, which I inked up in Night of Navy Class Ink.

I like to add a little something, something on the inside, so I added three of the smallest flowers on the inside as shown in the photo above.

I have the measurements for you listed below:

Real Red Cardstock – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″, 3″ x 4″ for the die cut pieces

Night of Navy Cardstock – 4″ x 5-1/4″ cardstock layer, 4″ x 3″ for the die cut pieces

Basic White Cardstock – 3-3/4″ x 5″ cardstock layer, 3″ x 4″ for the die cut pieces
