Welcome and thank you for stopping as you hop along with us on the monthly Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop July 2022.

Today we are hopping to nature.  I used several nature type elements here, let me explain and provide you measurements and details.

Products I used here are the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, Fern 3D Embossing Folder, Basic White Cardstock, Shaded Spruce Cardstock, Early Espresso Cardstock, and Pearl Basic Jewels.

My project is a standard card today, below are the details to cut out your project before assembling.

Shaded Spruce Cardstock = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (for embossing)

Basic White Cardstock = 3″ x 3 3/4″  card front, 5/8″ x 3″ sentiment, and 4″ x 5 1/4″ inside

Early Espresso Cardstock = 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″

I began by cutting all my pieces of cardstock first, then began assembly. Next, emboss the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock using the 3D Fern Embossing Folder.  (TIP; I place the cardstock in my embossing folder, mist it with some 90% isopropyl alcohol, it helps the embossing folder penetrate the fibers of the cardstock).  Set it aside a few seconds to dry.

Stamp the ground on the card by inking up with Early Espresso Classic Ink and stamping off once.  This will allow you to see where you should stamp the tree trunk.  Stamp the Tree trunk with full on Espresso ink.

Next using the Shaded Spruce Classic Ink pad, ink the largest leaf stamp and again, stamp off once, then over the tree stump.  Ink up the smaller leaf stamp without stamping off, over top of the previous stamped leaves.

Once you have all your pieces stamped, bring in your Blending Brush and both the Balmy Blue (sky), and Shaded Spruce Classic Ink (grass) to add some color to the sky and ground.

Now let us assemble all the pieces together. Adhere the Fern embossed Shaded Spruce cardstock over top of the Shaded Spruce card base using your favorite adhesive.  Adhere the stamped and inked tree image over top of the Early Espresso cardstock, including the sentiment.  Add some Black Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the Expresso cardstock and center on your card base.  Adhere the the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of your project.   Lastly, sprinkle some Pearl Basic Jewels, you’re done!

I hoped you have enjoyed today’s project and will continue on the hop, please remember to leave a little comment on the artist blog :-), its fun to hear your thoughts.
