Welcome and thank you for stopping as you hop along with the monthly Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop August 2022.
Today we are hopping to birthdays. I used several elements here, let me explain and provide you measurements and details. This project came together quite quickly with some “fussy cutting” and a beautiful die!
Products I used today are Organic Beauty Dies, Awash In Beauty Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil, Basic Black Cardstock, Granny Apple Green Cardstock, Basic White Cardstock, White Embossing Powder, Versamark, Heat Tool, Black Dimensionals, Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, Paper Snips and Glossy Dots Assortment.
Let’s start with the measurements:
Basic Black Cardstock = 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 then score at 4-1/4″, 3/4″ x 2-3/4″ sentiment, and 2 each of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/2″
Awash In Beauty DSP = See image below I used from the paper pack and cut using my Paper Snips
Gold Foil = 5-1/2 x 4-1/2″, and 2″ x 3-1/2″
Granny Apple Green = 2″ x 3-1/2″
Basic White Cardstock = 4″ x 5-1/4″
I started by cutting and scoring my Basic Black Cardstock base (using measurements listed above). Next I cut the larger piece of Gold Foil with the Organic Beauty Dies (trellis looking die) on the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
Using the 2 additional Basic Black Cardstock pieces and the trellis looking die, I ran them both through Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. As long as I was using my machine, using the little “berry” looking die, Granny Apple Green and smaller Gold Foil piece I cut those pieces out as well (2 of each).
Back at my work table, I cut out the floral piece from the Awash with Beauty Designer Series Paper, and fussy cut all around using my Paper Snips (TIP: hold your Paper Snips steady and try to only rotate the paper for good even cuts). Next I glued together the two Basic Black Trellis pieces using my Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then adhered the Gold Foil piece of top of the two Basic Black pieces. I added dimension without dimensionals.
I stamped the 3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock using the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled some White Embossing Powder, and heat set with my Heat Tool. I snipped one end at an angle.
Now that I had all my pieces cut, stamped, and embossed, I assembled my project together. I added the top Gold Foil piece over the top of my Basic Black Cardstock base using some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the Granny Apple Green and Gold Foil “berry” pieces to the back of the fussy cut floral piece. Next I added some Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to my card front. I added Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to my sentiment and adhered it as shown in the photo. I sprinkled some Glossy Dots Assortment gems to the front. Lastly I added the Basic White Cardstock piece to the inside of the card. I called it done.
I hoped you have enjoyed today’s project and will continue on the hop, please remember to leave a little comment on the artist blog :-), its fun to hear your thoughts.
