Christmas Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop

Welcome and thank you for stopping as you hop along with the monthly Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop November 2022

Today we are hopping to Christmas (the most wonderful time of the year).  I used several elements here, let me explain and provide you measurements and details.  This project came together so quickly and can be easily reproduced!

Products I used today are Merriest MomentsThick Basic White Cardstock, Basic White Cardstock, Real Red Cardstock, Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Real Red Classic Ink, Shaded Spruce Classic Ink, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Paper TrimmerGrid Paper, Red & Green Adhesive-Backed Pearls, Simply Elegant Trim (gold), Mini Glue Dots, and the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Let’s start with the measurements:

Thick Basic White Cardstock = 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 then score at 4-1/4″

Basic White Cardstock = 3-3/4″ x 2-3/4″

Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper = See photo for paper piece

I love, love, love the Merriest Moments Stamp Set and dies too, you can create so many beautiful Christmas cards.  I created something for you today which will be easy to reproduce and check your “making Christmas Cards” off your to do list in a jiffy!

Here is the breakdown for creating this project:

Begin by cutting out this floral image from the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper using your amazingly sharp Paper Snips! Next, using the Shaded Spruce and Real Red Classic Ink Pads, Ink up the smallest holly leaf stamp using and the cherries and stamp as shown on the photo below.

I didn’t stamp my sentiment on the Real Red Cardstock “before” I added it to my cardbase, but I would “highly recommend” you do.  I was lucky and stamped it straight, but that doesn’t always happen.  Remember, there are 2 sides to each cardstock piece.  Using the gold Simply Elegant Trim and adhere it using a couple of Mini Glue Dots. Next add some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped piece of Basic White Cardstock.  Note, I did not add any Dimensionals to the center, as I wanted to not have too much bulk.  I did add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the floral image.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the fussy cut piece of Boughs of Holly DSP, however, I did not add any Dimensionals to the center.  I was trying to best to not add any additional bulk.  Lastly, I added some of the beautiful gold Red & Green Adhesive-Backed Pearls.

In case you didn’t notice, one of the cards uses the medium size green holly leaf, and the other uses the smallest in the Merriest Christmas Stamp Set.  I like the smaller leaf.  Which is your favorite?
