Brusho and Butterflies

I have more Brusho projects for you today.  I used Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Paper and my Brusho Crystal Colours, plus one more additional item.

I love what a great effect I obtained on these cards, the beautiful, bright and highly pigmented color with a few easy shakes of the Brusho Crystal Colours, let me tell you, it doesn’t get much easier.

Brusho and Cellophane Wrap

So what is the one additional item I used on these projects?  It’s Cellophane Wrap (from my kitchen pantry), yep, super easy, super cool, and a super quick clean up!

I started with a 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Watercolor Paper I placed on a piece of chipboard I covered with Press-N-Seal to protect my work area from flying crystal debris and water.   Next,  I placed the Watercolor Paper on my covered chipboard, sprinkled some of the Brusho Yellow Crystals, then using my Stampin’ Spritzer filled with regular water, I spritzed the entire piece.  I took a 16″ piece of regular Cellophane Wrap (NOT Press-N-Seal), and crinkled it up, then placed it over the spritzed Watercolor Paper.  It is literally that easy!

Brusho Crystal Colours

Here is a close-up, you can see where the Cellophane Wrap which I left on the Watercolor Paper until my project was dry.  I was actually patient and did not use the heat tool, just took it outside to my back porch and let it air dry.

I cut out the large butterflies from the absolutely gorgeous Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies with Thick Whisper White Cardstock for the bottom layer, and Basic Black Cardstock for the top butterfly layer.

More Brusho

On this one, I taped off the outer edges of the Watercolor Paper with some Frog Tape I picked up at Walmart, and then I added the Brusho Crystal Colours in this order, Top – Brilliant Red, Yellow, Prussian Blue, and then Gamboge.  Next, I spritzed it with water, then again, using some crinkled Cellophane Wrap placed it atop of the spritzed piece and let it air dry.
