Last week I had my Heartfelt Card Class and I created a couple of Bear Candy Hugger Treat Holders for my ladies.  I found the template online, and it was free for anyone to use, yay!  (I’ll have the template link for you below this post)

I decided this would be a cute treat holder for my ladies since we already using the cute Heart Foil Tins as part of the class project.

I love how these cuties turned out and they were super fast and easy to do, and since I totally enjoy fussy cutting it was not a problem for me at all.  I suppose if you had one of those e-cutter machines this would work too, but I’m not 100% sure.

First I printed the template on a piece of copy paper, then fussy cut it would my Paper Snips.  Next, I used that template and drew around the image on an 8-1/2″ X 11″ piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock with a pencil.  I moved the bear around to ensure I got the most bears out of one piece of cardstock.

Once I cut out the cute bear, I sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake Ink and my Sponge Dauber so you couldn’t see any bad ridges.  I used the template for placement of the eyes, ears, and snout and colored them ink with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  I added some cheeks with a Sponge Dauber and some Blushing Bride Class Ink.

I added the heart candy with a couple of Mini Glue Dots ensuring I only adhered it to the wrapper.  I added a couple more Mini Glue Dots to the paws and closed them to look like he was hugging the candy.  Again using my Black Stampin’ Write Marker I added a couple of fingers (?) to the paws.

I stamped the friend sentiment from the NEW Forever Blossoms Stamp Set with Real Red Classic Ink and punched it with the Classic Label Punch.  The last thing was to add a sweet bow, so I used the Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dots.  I called this project done!
