Beautiful You with Lily Impressions DSP
I volunteer to create birthday cards for our church, so I keep myself constantly busy as we have mucho members (and that’s a good thing). I was notified they are in need of all the different cards I provide, masculine, feminine, kids, and young adult…….whew, I better get busy.
I usually create a template of what I want my card to look like, then I create a ton of them in an assembly-line fashion. I need to keep them pretty simple in order to get them done in an efficient manner, but I don’t want to skimp all at the same time.
I decided on the Beautiful You Stamp Set and the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper as I have a ton of it right now.
Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper
Besides receiving the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper as one of my FREE Sale-A-Bration items, I thought it was perfect for my feminine cards. I absolutely adore all the vibrant colors in this DSP pack with so many colors to pull from it was great to mix and match them on my cards.
For this particular card, I started with a 4-1/4″ X 11″ Highland Heather Cardstock base, which I scored at 5-1/2″. I cut a 4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and “before” I adhered it to my base, I also cut a 3-3/4″ X 3-3/4″ piece of the Lily Impressions DSP and then a 1-1/4″ X 3-3/4″ piece of the same Lily DSP only I flipped it to use the opposite side. I adhered the DSP to my Whisper White Cardstock layer with my SNAIL Adhesive.
Then using the 5/8″ Whisper White Flax Ribbon, I cut a 12″ piece of the ribbon. I sheered off 3 little strands, one at a time, to create my cute bow (as shown in the photo above). I also cut a length of ribbon with 4 strands to create a smaller width bow with the same Flax Ribbon (see photo above).
I added my ribbon across the front of the card with Tear & Tape, then tied a bow with the 3 single strands I had pulled, I added the bow with some Mini Glue Dots.
I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set on a 1/2″ X 2-1/2″ strip of Whisper White Cardstock with Melon Mambo Classic Ink. I added the sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the woman image from the Beautiful You Stamp Set on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink then colored her in with Highland Heather dark/light and Petal Pink Dark for her skin. Using my Paper Snips, I fussy cut the image and adhered it to my card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Inside
For the Inside, I cut a 4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and added a piece of the Lily Impressions DSP cut at 1/2″ X 4-1/4″ to the right side as shown in the photo above, as well as a 1/4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock. I called this project done!
