Inspiring Iris
I hadn’t played with my Inspiring Iris Stamp Set in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalo, and since Spring around the corner (thank God, cause I am so ready!), I felt this was the right time.
The Inspiring Iris Stamp Set is quite beautiful, the floral images are stunning and you don’t have to color them like I did with my blends, it has coordinating stamps to fill in the flowers, and the fonts are so pretty.
I started with a 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock and scored it at 4-1/4″. I used a 4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock for my second layer and ran it through my embossing machine using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Such amazing texture, I love it.
I cut another piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock cut at 2-3/4″ X 4″, using Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I sure hope they carry over, they are my favorite right now…. 😀 I stamped the floral image from the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set using the Saddle Brown Stazon Ink and then color it in using Highland Heather, Purpose Posy, and Granny Apple Green Blend Combos. I also used the Light Pool Party to create a slight shadow all around the image.
I stamped the sentiment with the Saddle Brown Stazon Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and again, used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut it out.
I wrapped some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the embossed panel. I adhered the Coastal Weave 3D Embossed panel with my Liquid Multipurpose Glue. The floral image and sentiment were added using Stampin Dimensionals.
I sprinkled a few Basic Pearl Jewels and I called this project done.

So beautiful! I’m confused though, I didn’t honk we could color with blends and Stazon. I was told only Momento with blends and Stazon for water coloring.
Barbara, yes, we use Memento ink for our blends, but I’m a rebel and tried the Stazon doing my best not to let my blends touch the Stazon on ink.
