March Paper Pumpkin
I received the March 2020 Paper Pumpkin last week and I fell in love with all the elements. It an Anniversary kit, so we received two (2) stamp sets in the kit. I created a couple of alternate cards with elements from the kit, and I’m here to share them all with you today.
No Matter the Weather
This is the original design of cards that came with my kit, aren’t they just perfect? They are notecard size (3-1/2″ X 5″), so definitely mailable.
If you’re a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber you know all the elements you need come in your kit, including glue dots, ribbon, small ink pad and so on. I already had the Basic Gray Stamp Set, so I didn’t open the one that came in the kit. The kit has all the instructions for you and Stampin’ Up also has a YouTube Video for you to visually see how it call comes together.
Pumpkin Alternative #1
For this project, I started with a 5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock and scored it at 4-1/4″. I also cut a piece of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper from the 2020 Mini Catalog at 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ and adhered to my cardstock base.
Next, I cut a piece of Vellum cardstock at 3″ X 4-1/4″, and used the largest of the scalloped rectangle dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set in the 2020 Mini Catalog to cut out my rectangle Vellum. I cut another piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2-1/2″ X 3-3/4″ to fit behind my Vellum.
I stamped the adorable rain boots from the No Matter The Weather Paper Pumpkin Kit on a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock using the Basic Gray Ink for the outline, and for the flower overlay stamp that comes with the stamp set, I used Petal Pink ink. So stinkin’ cut right? I also stamped the cute flowers from the Vibrant Vases Stamp Set on another scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock using my Basic Gray Class Ink and colored in the flowers using the coordinating overlay stamp and some Lovely Lipstick ink. For the stems, I dipped my Clear Wink of Stella brush into the Pear Pizzazz Classic ink and added some color to my stems.
The sentiment is stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink on the Rectangle Vellum and then I sprinkled some Clear Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set, also from the 2020 Mini Catalog. The boots and flowers were fussy cut using my Paper Snips.
The final touch was to sprinkle some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the flower centers. I called this project done.
Paper Pumpkin Alternative #2
For this project, I started with a 5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock and scored it at 4-1/4″. I also cut a piece of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper from the 2020 Mini Catalog at 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ and adhered to my cardstock base.
Next, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2″ X 4-3/8″, and used the largest of the stitched rectangle die from Nature’s Thoughts Dies (a Coordination Product Release available until 03/31/20 or until supplies last).
I stamped the adorable rain boots from the No Matter The Weather Paper Pumpkin Kit on a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock using the Basic Gray Ink for the outline, and for the flower overlay stamp that comes with the stamp set, I used So Saffron ink. I also stamped the cute flowers from the Vibrant Vases Stamp Set on another scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock using my Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink and So Saffron ink.
The sentiment is stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink on the Whisper White Panel. I stamped that cute bunny on another scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and used my Clear Wink of Stella Brush and a touch of the Basic Gray ink to shade the body, and Petal Pink ink to shade the inner ear. I stamped the grass from the Pumpkin stamps using Pear Pizzazz ink as shown on my Whisper White panel, and also on the front of the rain boots. The boots, bunny, and flowers were fussy cut using my Paper Snips.
The final touch was to add some Shimmery Crystal Effects (carried over from the 2019 Holiday Catalog) to the centers of my flowers. Everything besides the bunny is adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I called this project done.
