Migraine & Field of Flowers
This was probably one of the worst and unproductive weekends in a long time! From Friday to Monday I had the absolute worst headache and pain in my chest. My husband thought the pain in the center of my ribs was probably heartburn, but since I have NEVER had heartburn I wasn’t sure. Then the “headache” was absolutely debilitating. Let me just say, those of you who suffer from migraines have my absolute sympathy. Four (4) days of this pain is enough to make anyone cry! Ok, I’m done whining. 🙂
My project today is a very simple card using the Field of Flowers, Lovely You Stamp Sets, and the Friendly Silhouettes Dies. I could have used the flowery dies in the set, however, I really wanted those Pussy Willows on my project, so I used it.
Magenta Madness
I started with an 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, which I scored at 4-1/4″ for my card base. I sponged the card front with Balmy Blue Classic Ink with my Sponge Daubers. I stamped my sentiment from the Lovely You Stamp Set on a piece of 2-1/2″ X 1-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Night of Navy Classic Ink and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. I also stamped the front of my Thick Whisper White Cardstock base with the same sentiment.
I stamped the dragonflies with the Balmy Blue and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers. I “huffed” on the stamp before I put it to paper. I stamped the grass image from the Field of Flowers with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink on the bottom of my card base to ensure it. I cut the little Pussy Willow strips with a 2-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ Whisper White Cardstock and sponged the die cut piece of grass with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink and colored the brown area of the Pussy Willow with my Light/Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the piece to my bottom of my card front (over the grass I previously stamped) with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I punched out the Magenta Madness Cardstock flowers with the coordinating Confetti Flower Border Punch and added them with my Multipurpose Liquid Glue and placed the smallest of the Pearl Basic Jewels. I stamped some of the flowers with Crushed Curry and Petal Pink Classic Ink too. The last step was to add my cut sentiment with some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Wow! Such a great idea to use both the stamp and dies for the grass. I hope you are feeling better. I don’t get migraines, but sometimes heart burn. It’s horrible.
Thank you, Cindee. Appreciate you.
You might be interested to know that those plants are not pussy willow, but bullrush. Wonderful card! I like a lot of your cards, they really speak to me.
I had “no idea”, Anne, thank you so much for sharing, I am adding the name of the plant to my stamp set, so I won’t forget!
