Slimline Birthday

Saturday was my youngest daughter’s birthday, Happy Birthday Monica!  I wanted a special card for my girl, so I decided a slimline card would be fun.  I started with a 7″ X 8-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock and scored it at 3-1/2″ on the 7″ side for my card base.  I cut my first layer of Basic Black Cardstock at 8-1/4″ X 3-1/4″ and adhered it to my card base with my NEW Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive.  I used the New Best Plaid Builder Dies to create my Whisper White lattice I added over my Basic Black Cardstock layer with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped my sentiment from the Parcels and Petals Stamp Set on a 2-3/4″ X 2-3/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and used the 2nd from the largest Stitched Shapes Dies to cut it out.  I adhered my sentiment to the center front of my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flowers were created from the All Things Fabulous Stamp Set.  For the floral images on my project, I used Flirty Flamingo, Rococo Rose, and Melon Mambo Classic Inks for the pink flowers, and Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight, and Pretty Peacock Classic Inks for the blue flowers.  The leaves and stems were stamped with Granny Apple Green Classic Ink.  I used the coordinating Fabulous Floral Dies to cut out all my stamped images.  I added the outside flowers with my New Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive, as well as the leaves.  The remaining flowers were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I sprinkled some Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Lastly, I added one of the blue flowers on the inside right corner of my card.  I’m happy to report my daughter loved her card.

    Love your card. Ive been wanting to do this size card but haven’t because we don’t have any envelopes big enough. Did you make your own envelope?
