Ornate Style Projects

I felt like coloring today, so I pulled out the Ornate Style Stamp Set and my Stampin’ Blends.  I only added a sentiment to one of my projects as I think these would be good for just about any occasion. 

Ornate Layers Dies

These projects are truly super easy, the thing that makes them seem more elaborate are the gorgeous Ornate Layers Dies.  All my card bases begin with an 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of cardstock, scored at 4-1/4″.  I used Gorgeous Grape, Calypso Coral, and Rococo Rose Cardstocks.

I stamped the floral image from the Ornate Style Stamp Set in their respective color to the top right and bottom left corner.

The Whisper White Cardstock layer is cut at 3-1/2″ x 5″, and I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Ornate Layers Dies.  I adhered the Whisper White card layer to my card front with my Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive.  I stamped several of the floral images shown below from the Ornate Style Stamp Set on an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock (I made 6 cards total) with my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Colored my images in with Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, So Saffron, Highland Heather, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Pretty Peacock, and Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends. 

I fussy cut each of the images with my very sharp Paper Snips.  I adhered the floral image to the card front using lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For the one project I added a sentiment too, I used the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and adhered the sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Lastly, I added the coordinating Butterfly Gems to the card front.

 

I stamped the single daisy image from the Ornate Style Stamp Set on some scrap pieces of Whisper White cardstock, colored them in with my Blends, fussy cut them as well with my Paper Snips, then added it to the inside of my project.
