Christmastime Fun Fold Card
This is my last project using the gorgeous Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper. This project is also a Side Fun Fold card. It’s super easy, and just a bit different than your regular cards.
I selected one of the patterns from the Christmastime Is Here DSP and used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the image. I also cut a coordinating 1″ x 4″ piece of DSP. I cut my piece of Thick cardstock at 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″, and 6-3/4″. I used my Bone Folder to nicely burnish my score lines.
I added the 1″ x 4″ piece of Christmastime Is Here DSP to the left side of my card base. I added a piece of the 1/4″ Shimmer Glitter Ribbon and tied a bow on the left side of my project. I then added some Stampin’ Seal+ to adhere to the left panel down (don’t worry I have a video and FREE printable for you below with instructions).
I sponged the front panel using my Glycerine Technique with some Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink, Stampin’ Sponge, and Silicone Craft Mat. I have a video for you below as well on the glycerine sponging technique. As you can see from the photo above, no blotchiness. I used my Water Painters brush and the leftover color left on my Silicone Mat from sponging and sprinkled some spots over the top of my sponge piece. I stamped the sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set in Early Espresso Classic Ink. Lastly, I sprinkled a couple of gold Metallic Pearls.
Christmastime Ensemble
If you missed the full ensemble of projects I created with the Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper, I added the photo of all four above.
I created a couple more of these Side Fun Fold cards with some of the items from my October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit. The measurements will be the same for all the projects I am showcasing today. I used the 6″ x 6″ Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper on one card and pieces from the October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit for the other project.
Side Fun Fold Tutorial and Video
These really come together super quick, and you know I love easy, right? Yeah! I have a FREE Printable Tutorial and a Video for you below. I like to keep a copy of the tutorials in a binder (this will be under a tab labeled Fun Fold, so I can refer to them at a later time and I don’t have to go hunting my old posts to find the measurements.
Here is how you open the card, you will have a 4″ x 4″ area to write your message. I love to create my standard fold type cards, but fun folds are always a fun filler.
You can download the PDF printable below and view the video I made for you as well.
